Swimming pool house with plant room
A large, disused asbestos barn was demolished and replaced with a red brick outbuilding under a red pantile roof, and more in-keeping, both in scale and materials, with the adjacent Grade II Listed House and 19th century stable block.
A large proportion of the new building houses a swimming pool, with full height space and roof lights above the pool. A single door gives access the plant room. There is also a toilet and changing rooms with showers and seating. Storage cupboards were designed to house cleaning equipment and towels etc. Access to the swimming pool is suitable for wheelchair users.
