Welcome to Kay Pilsbury Thomas Architects
Kay Pilsbury Thomas Architects love old buildings, their histories, and the stories they can tell us today!
We are RIBA Specialist Conservation Accredited Architects, working throughout East Anglia, and specialise in working with these historic buildings to make sure they are around for years to come.
If you have a heritage or listed building that needs extending, adapting or repairing, our passionate and knowledgeable architects would love to help with the design.
Our close-knit team also work on unlisted historic buildings and bespoke new builds in Conservation Areas or the Countryside.
We get to understand the history and construction of your property from the start, and know the local Conservation Officers, Planners and team at Historic England to help you through the planning process. We produce robust designs that can be brought to life with our relationships with professional local Builders and Craftsmen.
Whether you have a Country House or a Listed Cottage, get in touch to arrange a free initial visit to discuss your project and turn your plans into the spaces you’ll cherish tomorrow.
Our Projects
With a wide range of domestic, public and commercial projects in our portfolio, we have helped our clients imagine, build, restore and realise their ideas for the proposals we work on. Whatever the project might be, we put our heart and soul and our family values into ensuring that it provides you with what you need and that it continues to do so for generations to come.
Interior Design
Our in-house Interior Design team understands the complexities of what it means to own, restore or refurbish a period house. They are ready to bring all of their attention and expertise to bear on ensuring your home retains the elegant charm of the past while also considering the activities and uses of the present. Working with you each step of the way, they can produce inspiring room sheets, materials boards and detailed schedules, and assist on an ad-hoc basis, choosing colours and providing recommendations when required. Their mission is to create spaces that add colour and vibrancy to your daily life while enhancing the harmonies that exist in the fabric of a home with the kind of unique flourishes that allow your property to truly sing.
